TLP's OG Family
On Friday, February 28, The Lord’s Place will hold its inaugural March to End Homelessness. The extended Scarola family is joining forces with Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley to raise money for this great cause.
45 years ago, our father/grandfather Jack Scarola joined the late Brother Joe Ranieri sleeping on the steps of St. Ann’s Church and later helped him as he spent weeks living in a dumpster to call the attention of the community to the problem of homelessness and to solicit financial support.

Through the remarkable generosity of so many of our friends and family, what started as a very modest, storefront soup kitchen has now grown into a comprehensive and highly effective network of programs operating on eight campuses and serving more than 2,000 homeless men, women, and children this past year.
The Lord's Place has made great progress in breaking the cycle of homelessness that victimizes far too many of our neighbors, but skyrocketing real estate costs in Palm Beach County are claiming new victims every day.

The goal this year is to raise $350,000 to help local families, restoring their dignity by providing them the tools to achieve self-sufficiency and independence. The first $10,000 raised through this request will be matched by Anita and Jack Scarola in order to double the impact of your participation. In addition, The Honorable Ann Brown is also matching every dollar donated, so your donation will actually be tripled!
We invite you to "march" with us and/or ask you to consider a donation. Your presence and generosity will continue to make a difference in our community and beyond.
